Welcome! If you’ve found this blog, it’s a good bet that you, or someone you know, is staring down the barrel of the end of the “wonder years” (aka college or graduate school). Senior year is a difficult balance between enjoying what could be your final moments of adolescent freedom and preparing yourself for what lies ahead. Add anxiety about senior year “lasts,” badgering from well-meaning family and friends about your post-grad plans, and the logistical nightmares of fulfilling graduation requirements – and you’re bound to go a little nuts. Take it from someone who’s in the thick of it.
I hope this blog will help alleviate some of your stress, provide a respite from the craziness and remind you that you’re not in it alone. I’ll offer some unsolicited advice on how to make the most of your relatively responsibility-free 20s, how to prepare both your resume and your emotions for the fateful May afternoon when you’ll be kicked out into the real world and tidbits to keep you sane (or at least smiling) in between. Commencement Exercises endeavors to be a fun, practical guide for keeping and getting your shit together. We’re in this together, so let me know what you think!
